HOW DO WE CHOOSE OUR PROVIDERS & CONTRACTORS

We built Pulled out of necessity, from our experience as designers, providers & contractors ourselves. Perhaps no other team understands the need for providing quality talent and resources better than us. Our team’s experience working on some of the largest projects with demanding clients to smaller-scale projects for discerning homeowners has afforded us tremendous firsthand experience in vetting and building a network of highly qualified partners that can service every need a homeowner has.

ENSURING THE BEST QUALITY

You may be wondering, how we build our team of partners and where we find quality providers, right? While there’s no easy way to define our process, it can be broken down into three focused areas. These include inbound applications from our marketing efforts, outbound prospecting, and referrals.

As you probably know that there’s no best way to connect with a contractor or service provider. We build our networks based on our experience in the industry. We check references and attend events that allow us to see a contractor’s experience firsthand, while also asking for referrals from our industry contacts, other contractors, and homeowners. Contractors can also come to us, by submitting an application to join the Pulled network and platform.

Our vetting process is perhaps even more important in helping us identify the best contractors to invite to our network. Because a fraction of the contractors that go through our rigorous vetting process gain access to the Pulled platform, we spend considerable amounts of time doing due diligence on each contractor to ensure they are the right fit for Pulled and your needs. Because we aim to provide a consistent, quality experience for clients, the vetting process is absolutely critical. We built Pulled because homeowners often don’t have the time or resources to effectively research and vet service providers and contractors and keep track of every service and relationship. That’s why we do it for them.

WHAT REQUIREMENTS DO CONTRACTORS HAVE TO MEET TO JOIN PULLED?

We have a multistep process for bringing contractors on our platform. We don’t just look for quality. But our focus is also aspects of the business like: background and certifications, growth desires, scalability, coordination skills, professionalism, business history, and technical expertise.

Our standard onboarding process helps us qualify prospective providers:

  • Registration: All prospects first register for an account that allows us to gather high-level information about their businesses.
  • Phone Call: Once we receive an application, we perform an initial screening conversation to tell them about Pulled. We learn about their business, align on our processes, and answer additional logistical questions about the partnership.
  • In-Person Meeting: A Pulled team member will meet the contractor and service provider in person to discuss things such as their workmanship and quality standards. This gives us an understanding of the proficiency of the provider. How they are organized, how their team is structured, how they handle customer service and how effectively they can manage a job site.
  • Documents: The last step is collecting required documentation, such as copies of licenses, previous contracts, and sample COIs. We may also call references and perform a background check.

WHY DO CONTRACTORS WANT TO JOIN PULLED AND WHAT ARE THE INCENTIVES?

Pulled treats contractors and service providers as true partners. We work to foster long-term relationships and we have the best interest for your business to grow with us. Unlike lead generation platforms, we focus on developing our contractors and service provider’s profiles, business structure, and overall success. We also streamline payments and provide a steady stream of work that they don’t have to constantly bid on against competitors.

Contractors and service providers have so much on their plate, from employee training to customer service, scheduling, billing, customer service, loan structuring, equipment and tool management, and collections, contractors and other service providers don’t have the bandwidth to do all of these processes perfectly and provide optimal customer service. That’s where we can help! By building with the best, we’re able to work towards a long-term partnership that benefits all parties.

HOW DO WE ENSURE CONTRACTORS AND PROVIDERS ARE SUCCESSFUL?

Our robust onboarding experience includes 1-on-1 meetings. Here we walk contractors through the process. Showing them how we coordinate projects in our platform, the ins, and outs of our digital tools. Our suite of digital tools provides contractors, providers, and clients the ability to manage projects and services more effectively providing consistency and efficiency.

Once onboarded, contractors have access to our team for all stages of a project’s journey. We encourage contractors and homeowners to work together on project coordination. But we are there every step of the way to keep things on track.

Finally, we provide a constant feedback loop for contractors. This includes quantitative performance data and qualitative assessments to help them constantly improve. We also love getting feedback from our contractor network and regularly conduct interviews with contractors to learn what’s working well and what we can be doing better to set them up for success.
